Complete your education through the Youth Consortium!
If your school district is a member of the Youth Consortium, YC provides alternative educational opportunities to students who desire to complete their education.

What options are available?

  • Earn credit toward graduation from your home school
  • Earn your DMACC Adult High School Diploma

Are you currently out of school for the semester but plan to reenroll next semester or next year? If so, take this opportunity to earn credit to be transferred to your home high school when you reenroll. This will allow you to keep up with your class while you are out of school.

How?
If you are 17 years of age or older, you are eligible to enroll in Des Moines Area Community College’s (DMACC) High School Credit Program.

  • A variety of High School Courses are available through DMACC
  • Each course has been individualized
  • Students work on each course independently with the assistance of DMACC instructors
  • Students work at their own pace
  • Students’ attendance schedules are flexible
  • With school approval, the Consortium pays for all course fees and provides free rental of necessary books to students.
