A six-passenger bus leaves the DMACC Ankeny Campus as part of the fun held during the free DMACC picnic held June 17 outside Bldg. #7.

DMACC employees and their families enjoyed hotdogs, baked beans, potato chips and ice cream sandwiches as part of the free DMACC picnic.

Four-year old Jacob Pfiffner (left), son of Transportation Institute Director David Pfiffner and his wife, Kim, throws a ball during the DMACC picnic.  Jacob's 21-month old brother, Nathan, is the in background.   Jordan and Anessa (right) blow bubbles.

Some of us can get the hula hoop to make a revolution or two around our bodies.  These two (left) effortlessly could make the hula hoop do what it was designed to do. Virginia Wangerin's granddaughter, Claire Rouse, (right) couldn't decide whether to play with the frisbee or hula hoop.

DMACC students Lilly Clampitt (left) of Maxwell and Kathy Findley of Ottumwa sign up for prizes at the Ankeny Campus Academic Achievement Center Summer Semester Open House.  Clampitt is a first year student enrolled in DMACC's Legal Assistant program, while Findley is a second year student enrolled in Nursing.

Thank you to everyone from DMACC for the cards, calls and best wishes upon my recent accident, blood clot and extended hospital stay.  I'm undergoing some therapy now and look forward to getting back to normal activities soon.  Thanks again.                                                    Harold Belken

My 36-year career as a registered nurse is winding down with just enough time for me to hop off to do other fascinating things!  I've enjoyed being a part of the DMACC community and meeting all of you wonderful people!  Yes, I will miss DMACC and being the Campus Nurse.  I have enjoyed "taking care" of you.  Being a nurse has been a part of my life since 1965, so, it will be missed.  I will fill my time continuing to remain healthy, spending time with my family and possibly even learning some new things!  Take care everyone and be healthy.
