Join us and a small group of your fellow DMACC students at one of our free group career assessment sessions in Building 1 on the Ankeny campus to start your career exploration journey. In your session, you'll complete free career assessments that will help you identify majors and occupations that might fit your interests, skills, and values. This is a great first step towards finding an academic and professional path that suits you! We have a variety of dates and times available. West Des Moines Fire Fighters Association Easter Egg Hunt

West Des Moines Fire Fighters Association Easter Egg Hunt begins at 10:30 am sharp.  Join us for face painting, fire trucks and the Easter Bunny will even make an appearance.  Fun time for all.  There are designated hunt areas for ages 3-5 and then the 6 and up area.  For the 2 and under children, we will hold the event inside the DMACC West Campus building.  The is event is free and open to the public.

2015 BTEC Student & Employer Breakfast

The 2015 BTEC Student & Employer Breakfast will be held on Wednesday, April 8th from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Oak & Lake View Inn Rooms in Building 7 on the DMACC Ankeny Campus. Representatives from a variety of local employers will be in attendance to share their professional advice and insights about their organizations with attending BTEC students. This event is an excellent networking opportunity for all BTEC students. BTEC faculty will also be presenting student awards at the breakfast in recognition of exceptional classroom performance, growth, and other accomplishments. Light breakfast fare will be provided. 2015 Career & Resource Expo

Iowa Workforce Development will be hosting a free Career and Resource Expo at the FFA Enrichment Center, which adjoins the DMACC Ankeny campus at 1055 SW Prairie Trail Parkway, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 9th. Over 80 local and regional employers will be in attendance to recruit for full-time, part-time, internship, and contract openings. This expo is open to all job seekers, including members of the public and DMACC students and alumni. There is no fee for job seekers to attend; job seekers DO NOT need to pre-register. In addition to the expo, which will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., there will also be a smaller, more intimate networking event from 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at the same location. Free career-related workshops will also be offered on-site during the expo. Workshop topics inlclude job search tips for veterans and "seasoned" professionals, resume writing, social media job search tools, in-demand jobs, and more! There will also be a professional attire fashion show.
