The Disability Services Office staff are committed to providing quality services for persons with disabilities. It is DMACC's policy to comply with the access provisions of state and federal civil rights legislations for persons with disabilities. DMACC is committed to providing an accessible environment that supports students with disabilities in reaching their full potential. Services are available for students with documented disabilities to ensure equal access to educational opportunities. College policy calls for reasonable accommodation to be granted to students with disabilities. Reasonable accommodation is granted in the form of auxiliary aids and services.

Services and resources include:

  • Accommodations for students who have a documented disability
  • Information about and referral to other agencies, such as Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services and Department of Human Services
  • Counseling/advising services for social, academic, and personal needs
  • Disability Services Orientation for new students
  • Individual orientations covering physical access and early registration
  • Academic success workshops
